Using General Use Machine

To ensure that we are using the proper machine when working in the office, this document will show you where to find the remote connection location and highlight a few other points of note when using a general use machine. 

Logging In

1. Login to any one of the General Use machines using your domain username and password. 
⚠️ Do Not Add "apexparamedics\": When in office, this is not necessary and will not work to sign you in.


2. Navigate to the Billing Share ("R: Drive") > General Use Connections

3. Double click on the machine name assigned to you and login again when prompted.
Billing-##: This is the same name as the icon on your desktop when you connect remotely from a Wyse Terminal.


Success! You have successfully signed into your assigned machine.


Logging Out

Please follow the steps below to properly logout of the General Use machine.
⚠️ Logout of Both Machines: You will need to sign out of both the machine you have connected to as well as the General Use machine you are sitting in front of.

1. Click on the Windows icon  (1) in the bottom left corner of the screen, click on your name (2) then sign out (3).

2. The Remote Desktop window will disappear, and the screen will show the desktop of the General Use machine.
3. Click on the Windows icon  (1) in the bottom left corner of the screen, click on your name (2) then sign out (3).


Success! You have successfully signed out of the General Use machine.



Having Issues?
Have you tried rebooting? A simple reboot of the device will resolve 90% of everyday computer issues. If you are unable to reboot through Windows, push and hold the power button until the machine turns off, or pull the power from the outlet and plug back in.
