Pitney - Using the Relay Machine
This document will walk through the basic steps on using the Pitney Bowes Relay machine.
1. Approach the device and confirm that is it turned on.
2. Click on the "Clear Deck" button to clear any envelopes still in the machine through before starting a new job.
3. Check the currently selected job (top right corner of the screen)
| ℹ If the selected job is not the required job, press the Select Another Job button and find the appropriate job

4. Stock the appropriate trays for the appropriate jobs
| ℹ If unsure of the orientation of envelopes and the other materials, click on the "Loading Instructions and Pre-Run Adjustments" The images displayed on the screen show the correct orientation and order. Use the down
arrows on the machine to navigate to the part of the job in question. |
| ⚠️ The contents of each tray must be squared off and as neat as possible to get the best results. The contents of each tray must be squared off and as neat as possible to get the best results. BRE's and envelopes must be tight and at the angle shown in on the tray guide plastic piece.

5. Once all of the materials are loaded into the appropriate trays, click on the "Trial Piece" button to run a single test piece through to test before running the full stack through.
| ⚠️ DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL CHECKING THE FOLLOWING IN THE TRIAL PIECE: - Address fully fits in the Window - tap on the table to confirm everything is fully at the bottom of the envelope.
- Envelope is not torn or crinkled in any way.
- All desired sheets are for the correct patient/recipient

| ℹ A trial piece is required when starting each job or making an adjustment to the job configuration. You will have to manually seal the Trial Piece. |
| ⛔ IF ANYTHING IS INCORRECT IN THE TRIAL PIECE, IT MUST BE CORRECTED BEFORE THE REST OF THE STACK CAN BE RUN THROUGH THE MACHINE. |
6. Click the "Start" button to run for the rest of the loaded material.
| ✅ Success! You have successfully completed a job on the Pitney Relay machine. |
