Setting Default PDF Application

Setting Default PDF Application

Since we have moved away from everyone in billing needing the Foxit PDF Editor, we had to update the policies that would force Foxit as the default on all of the billing machines.  If for some reason, the PDF files are not opening in Foxit automatically, follow these steps:

The best way to tell if Foxit is not the default is to try to open a PDF file and if the icon looks like this:

Follow these steps to set it as the default:

      1. Right click on the pdf file
      2. Choose Open With > Choose Another App

      3. Select Foxit PDF Editor from the list, check the Always use this app to open .pdf files. box then click OK.

      4. Confirm the file thumbnail changed and that double clicking will open the file in Foxit.

Foxit has been successfully set as the default .PDF Editor
