Self Service - Reset Password

This document will walk through the steps required for a user to unlock their account without requiring a domain admin.

Resetting Password

⚠️ You only have 5 minutes to complete each step of the password reset process.

  1. Open a browser and navigate to https://serviceportal.apexparamedicsteam.com:9251
  2. Click on the Reset Password button.



  1. Enter your username (ex. jdoe) in the box prompting for the username.
  2. In the Verification code to email box, select on your email from the drop-down list.


  1. Type the confirmation characters, then click Continue.
    1. You will receive an email with a code.
  2. Enter the code in the Enter the Code box and type in the confirmation characters and click Next


  1. On the Reset Password screen, enter and confirm the new password, then enter the confirmation characters and click Reset Password.

⚠️ New Password Must Adhere To:
  • At least 12 characters in length
  • Must contain at least 1 upper case letter
  • Must contain at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Must contain at least 1 number
  • Must contain at least 1 special character (!*&%$)
  • Cannot be the same as any of the last 10 passwords on the domain
  • Cannot contain your username and will prevent you from using generic (dictionary) passwords such as 'Password'




Password cannot be anywhere close to your username (ex: Jsmith's password cannot be jsmi3403!*6) This password will not be accepted.





  1. A message will appear, and the user will be navigated back to the Service Portal home screen with a message that the password has been reset.

✅ Password has now been reset. Log back in with the updated password.






Having Issues?
Have you tried rebooting? A simple reboot of the device will resolve 90% of everyday computer issues. If you are unable to reboot through Windows, push and hold the power button until the machine turns off, or pull the power from the outlet and plug back in.
